Folks -

This bill passed the House of Representatives October 23, 2007 by a vote of 404 to 6 and went on the U.S. Senate. It is now in Senate hands. This bill has the potential of being used against ANYONE who may be deemed a threat to the U.S. Government in ANY capacity:

(2) VIOLENT RADICALIZATION- The term `violent radicalization' means the process of adopting or promoting an extremist belief system for the purpose of facilitating ideologically based violence to advance political, religious, or social change.

(3) HOMEGROWN TERRORISM- The term `homegrown terrorism' means the use, planned use, or threatened use, of force or violence by a group or individual born, raised, or based and operating primarily within the United States or any possession of the United States to intimidate or coerce the United States government, the civilian population of the United States, or any segment thereof, in furtherance of political or social objectives.

(4) IDEOLOGICALLY BASED VIOLENCE- The term `ideologically based violence' means the use, planned use, or threatened use of force or violence by a group or individual to promote the group or individual's political, religious, or social beliefs.

Please pay attention to the language in this bill!

As an American it behooves you to write your Senator asking him/her NOT to endorse this bill. If you do not write to your Senator then please sign the petition that will be sent to the U.S. Senate.

Do you want to labeled a terrorist or a dissident just because you disagree with your governments actions?

If you don't then stand up and be counted. America was built on our right of dissent - the freedom of speech. Don't let this bill take away your freedoms even down to the level of thinking about it!
